The Mori clan in Akihiroshima was a daimyo family with 1.2 million koku. In the battle of Sekigahara, Mori’s corps joined the WESTERN Army. Terumoto Mori was staying at Osaka Castle. Hidemoto Mori, Masaie Natsuka and Ekei Ankokuji took up their position at the foot of Mt.Nangu.
The moment they saw the beacon they sent an express messenger to Hidemoto Mori, and urged him to join the army. Hidemoto Mori tried to take the field, but Hiroie Kikkawa strongly believed that it wasn’t good for the Mori family to take to the field. Also Yoshikawa’s forces were spread out in front of Mori’s forces, and he was not able to move.
