When Hideie Ukita was young, he was loved by Hideyoshi, and became a Gotairo. After Hideyoshi and Toshiie’s death Hideie continued being Ieyasu. Hideie Ukita joined as a vice captain of the WESTERN RMY in the Battle of Sekigahara.
Hideie Ukita took up his position at Mt. Minamitemma, Ukita’s forces waged a fierce battle with Fukushima’s forces. However, due to the betrayal of Hideaki Kobayakawa, the Western Camp was routed out and the Ukita’s forces were destroyed.
Hideie said, “I'll go into Kobayakawa's camp to hack at Hideaki,” but he was stopped by his vassal Teruzumi Akashi and Hideie escaped from the battlefield to Mt. Ibuki.
After the war, Hideie Ukita went over Satuma, and he was sheltered by Shimazu. But several years later Hideie appeared before the Edo shogunate and he was exiled to Hachijo-jima.
