There is the monument of the big First Battle Site at the entrance of Nishida exercise park near Mt.kitatemma. On
the final battle day after 8:00 am strong general Saizo Kani of Fukushima’s forces was deceived by Naomasa Ii, Tadayoshi Matsudaira and others had pretended to be on patrol, but
instead they fired on Ukita’s forces. Ieyasu appointed Masanori Fukushima to lead the group. They immediately fired on Ukita’s forces. Ukita’s forces shot back at Fukusima’s forces and the Battle of Sekigahara began. We call this neighborhood the First Battle Site. |
